Logistics Coordinator (Drayage)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
· Dispatch Planning and Scheduling
- Establish container import and export schedules for each port and terminal o Manage real-time dispatching and monitor operation status
- Provide guidance on optimal transport routes and timing considering terminal gate conditions and road congestion
· Container and Cost Management
- Monitor and manage container free time using shipping line and terminal systems
- Proactively coordinate schedules to prevent demurrage and detention charges
- Verify freight settlement data and manage cost settlements with transport partners
· Communication and Coordination
- Communicate with trucking companies and individual drivers to ensure on-time dispatch
- Share real-time cargo location information with customers and relevant departments
- Coordinate inbound schedules and identify on-dock work status within the terminal
· Documentation and Data Management
- Review transport-related documents including B/L and D/O
- Perform accurate data entry into Logistics Management Systems (TMS)
- Manage empty container returns and maintain transport records
· Incident Response and Support
- Immediately respond to and resolve unexpected situations such as transport accidents or vehicle breakdowns
- Manage port delays and provide quick alternatives to minimize operational disruptions
- Perform other duties as assigned or required in drayage operations

Requirements/Qualifications:
· College degree or equivalent work experience in logistics, trade, or a related field
· Professional experience in logistics with a preference for drayage operation experience
· High level of understanding regarding major port terminal systems and drayage transport processes
· Proficiency in Logistics Management Systems (TMS) and MS Office applications including Excel
· Strong communication skills to interact effectively with multiple logistics partners and field personnel
· Flexible problem-solving skills and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment
· Meticulous data management skills and a responsible attitude toward meeting deadlines
· Ability to work both independently and as a good team player · Understanding of local transport markets and nearby major port terminal infrastructure
· English, Korean Bi-Lingual a plus

Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in integrated operations involving warehousing and stevedoring
· Holders of job-related certifications such as Logistics Manager or Stevedoring Specialist
